First aid for Educational Visits

EVOLVE Advice has teamed up with Strong Roots Training to create a new first aid course with a particular focus on educational visits.

OEAP National Guidance states that a basic level of first aid support should be available at all times. This will require that one or more of the staff leading the activity:

Has a working knowledge of simple first aid and is competent to use the first aid materials carried with the group
Knows how to access, and is able to access, qualified first aid support.

This 3+ hour course may be appropriate for staff who lead or accompany educational visits where a risk assessment deems a fully qualified first aider is not needed. It is also suitable for staff who may need to deputise in the absence of the main first aider back at school.
