Get Out! Grant launches to bridge educational visits funding gap
Educational visits specialist, EVOLVE Advice, is offering twelve Get Out! Grants of £500 to support schools in funding the rising cost of educational visits.
Jake Wiid, Senior Educational Visits Adviser for EVOLVE Advice says: “We are delighted to launch this new grant, which schools can use towards resources, transport, development or activities for offsite educational visits.
“Covering the cost of educational visits is increasingly challenging for schools and families. School leaders are facing difficult budgeting decisions and family incomes are under pressure from a rising cost of living. As a result, some children are missing out on educational visits that have proven benefits for their learning and wellbeing.
“At EVOLVE Advice, we believe every child should have the opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom. We’re offering grants to schools in England and Wales to support them in delivering trips and visits, whether that’s buying resources for a local learning area visit or subsidising places on an overseas residential.
“Educational visits can be a powerful tool in educating and inspiring young people, helping them to develop a deeper understanding of the natural world and empowering them to make positive changes in their communities. We look forward to receiving applications and supporting schools to help their young people to Get Out!”

The grants will be awarded to twelve schools in England and Wales for offsite educational visits in the 2024/25 academic year. It’s easy to apply, schools are asked to explain how they plan to use the grant and how it will help them deliver memorable and safe educational visits by the deadline of 30 June 2024.
