Emergency pocket guide

Educational Visits Emergency Pocket guide

Would you know what to do in an emergency on an educational visit?

We’ve produced these emergency pocket guides to support your visit teams. They’re reusable and have a handy clip to attach them to bags or clothing so they’re always to hand.

The Educational Visits Emergency Guide includes clear, on-the-go advice about how to manage an emergency while on a visit, including:

  • Immediate actions and priorities in an emergency.

  • What to do if there is a lost child.

  • Who to contact in an emergency - key numbers.

  • Who to to inform and what to tell them.

  • Emergency first aid actions.

NOTE: This pocket guide has been produced by EVOLVE Advice. It refers to publicly available national guidance published by OEAP and other requirements from official bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive at the time of production. It does not constitute legal advice. Any legislation, employer or school guidance takes precedence over the advice given in the pocket guide.
