Emergency First Aid at Work

Schools are responsible for creating a safe learning environment — and that includes being ready to act immediately when children or staff become ill or are injured. Under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, every employer—including schools—must carry out a risk assessment, appoint a sufficient number of first aiders, and ensure they receive suitable training.

In a school setting, “suitable training” means more than a certificate. It means preparing staff to respond confidently and practically — whether on the playground, in the classroom, during sports, or on educational visits.

This one day (6 hour) face to face course covers both on and off the school site.
