Provider Advice

Advice and Guidance for providers

EVOLVE Advice Provider Pro

A confidential advice and guidance service for educational visits providers, from EVOLVE Advice, the educational visits specialists.

With EVOLVE Advice on your team, you’ll benefit from our risk management expertise and our extensive experience advising schools on their educational visits.

Providers shoulder a lot of responsibility

Giving children and young people access to safe and memorable educational visits is why we’re all here, right? As a provider, you play an essential part in this and with that comes significant responsibilities.

Providers must ensure visits are safe, well-organised, and fully compliant with legal requirements. But with regularly updated guidance, evolving risks, and the need to demonstrate high standards, staying on top of everything can feel overwhelming.

That’s where EVOLVE Advice comes in. Our expert advice helps you cut through the complexity, giving you the confidence that your policies, procedures, and decisions are sound. Whether it’s clarifying legislation, strengthening risk management, or working towards accreditations like the LOtC Quality Badge, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

We know schools and school trips, it is what we do. We understand there can sometimes be a barrier between providers and schools. Using data-led insights from our work with EVCs and Visit Leaders we can help your team to understand the pinch points and barriers for schools and find ways to build positive long-term relationships with your customers.

Our support, your way

If educational visits are part of what you do, we can help you do them better, safer, and with peace of mind.

Always-on or project-based, you’ll get the same dedicated service from our team

Choose our comprehensive retained service and draw on our expertise as you need it.

You’ll have unlimited access to our senior advisers for advice on risk management and compliance with national guidance and relevant legislation.

We’ll be a critical friend and confidential counsel for bigger operational or strategic decisions. We advise the boards of some of the largest providers, bringing our insights from the sector and school visits landscape to support their decision-making.

We’ll be as hands on as you need, integrating into your team to bridge knowledge gaps and provide a sounding board for ideas. If you prefer a lighter touch that’s fine too – we’ll establish ways of working at the start and adapt to your circumstances as needed.

Project-based support

If you have a specific area you’d like us to look at in detail, or an ongoing advice package isn’t for you right now, we also offer support to providers on a project-by-project basis.

We’ll meet with you to understand your needs and propose a plan of action to help you achieve your aims. Our senior advisers will be your main point of contact, applying their extensive knowledge and experience to your project.

Our confidentiality commitment

We recognise that in the course of working with you we will have access to commercially sensitive information. As standard we will engage in a mutual NDA covering the work we provide for you. We have secure database and email systems which keeps your data in password protected secure folders.

Where we are working with companies in direct competition on similar projects, we will assign different leads to those providers, and implement strict internal processes to prevent the sharing of sensitive information. In our roles we are privy to highly confidential information from Boards or senior teams which is often highly restricted, including internally within your company; we will assume everything shared with us is confidential unless instructed otherwise.

  • A: No, we are a critical eye but not an inspectorate or assessment body. Members of our team are also assessors for the LOtC Quality Badge but we don’t replace this important assessment. We can, however, support you to be assessment ready.

  • A: We’ll agree this with you when we’re designing your support package. Typically we would speak with Senior Members of your team or specific colleagues that you ask us to work with to maintain confidentiality.

  • A:  Our service complements these awards and memberships. We’re always here to answer your questions and help you identify areas for improvement across your whole offer from  central operations to safety on centre, on an ongoing basis.  As independent advisers, we’re in your corner when you need us, ready to advise you on arising issues  or proposed changes to your business,  helping you ensure you’re compliant from day one.

  • A: The short answer is no. However, having an independent, critical friend is a valuable asset to an organisation like yours. Our honest, solutions-focused support gives you, and your board critical insight on safety but also the development of your business and its reputation.

  • A: Yes, we can create a bespoke package for you.  Let’s start with a conversation about what you’re looking for and we can build something that works for your business and budget.

  • A The integrity of our advisory services is core to who we are as a company. We won’t compromise that by engaging in any business activity that undermines our independence. What that means in practice is that we won’t promote your business over another to schools or the wider sector, and we won’t knowingly support you in mis-representing your offer to schools or to awards or membership bodies.

We’ll always tell you if we identify that any of your activities are non-compliant or unsafe for children and young people. In that case, we will recommend immediate changes and if we don’t see immediate action, we may decide to terminate our service with your company.

We can offer our expert opinion on legal matters but we don’t offer legal advice or crisis management support - both of these need specialist support. We can recommend highly-experienced professionals to help you, if required.
