Your Speaker
Stu Meese is LOtC Quality Badge Manager at the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom. He has over 30 years’ experience supporting meaningful, safe and inspiring learning beyond the classroom. Originally from the Midlands, he has spent many years living and working across Europe which continues to shape his approach to education.
Stu’s background spans outdoor centre leadership, youth work, adventurous activities, teaching and expedition leadership in the UK and overseas. He remains deeply committed to learning beyond the classroom as a powerful tool for supporting wellbeing, personal development and connection with place.
As LOtC Quality Badge Manager, Stu is responsible for managing the delivery of the LOtC Quality Badge scheme, including leading its development and growth so that more children and young people can benefit from high quality learning outside the classroom. Stu works closely with outdoor and education visit advisers, LOtC provider organisations, teaching unions, policy makers, industry bodies and other professional networks to promote quality standards across all sectors.
