It's back! The National Educational Visits Conference returns in 2026
The National Educational Visits Conference is back in 2026 with another fantastic programme of workshops for staff leading educational visits.
The conference returns to the British Library on 11 June 2026 and expects to welcome around 200 Educational Visits Coordinators (EVCs), Senior Leaders and staff with responsibility for educational visits in schools.
This year’s conference is hosted by Teacher Tapp’s Laura McInerney, who’ll bring years of experience working with schools and share insights into teachers’ experiences of running school trips.
Attendees can expect insights and practical strategies to increase their knowledge and confidence managing educational visits. From compliance to risk management, team development and preventing incidents, sessions will focus on ensuring EVCs and wider staff are up-to-date with the latest guidance and good practice.
The National Educational Visits Conference is organised by EVOLVE Advice and is an excellent source of training and development.
EVCs and staff attending in 2024 highlighted the value of the content covered on the day:
“It has been really good for me to come today, not only to pick up information to take back to school but also to clarify that what I’m sharing with staff is correct.” Angela Bailey, EVC at the Arts and media school in Islington
Alison Cooney, Northwood School, Middlesex said:
“I’m the new EVC for my school and I wanted to come and see how the process works at other schools. I attended the risk management session, and I took away that you need to involve the people are organising the trips themselves more”
Emma Wiid, Director of Learning and Development at EVOLVE Advice says:
“The National Educational Visits Conference is widely recognised as an important part of the training landscape for EVCs and those leading educational visits in schools.
“Attendees learn from experienced advisers and specialists in key areas such as law, incident management, inclusion and supervision; this is an excellent opportunity to build on existing knowledge and dive deeper into topics where you may need more support. Importantly, it also brings new and experienced staff together to share experiences and learn from each other to help share good practice across settings”.
Michelle Evans of Headline Sponsor, PGL Beyond says:
“At PGL Beyond, we believe in the potential of young people. And every day we support this by providing transformational experiences beyond the classroom, that have a long-lasting, positive impact on their lives.
“We understand the pivotal role that Educational Visits Coordinators (EVCs) play in shaping these moments, which is why we’re proud to be the headline sponsor of the National Educational Visits Conference.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting the incredible work EVOLVE Advice does in developing and empowering the dedicated educators who make these trips possible.
