EVOLVE Advice supports the LOtC Quality Badge
EVOLVE Advice is proud to support the LOtC Quality Badge in 2026 – an important quality assurance scheme with safety and educational outcomes at its core.
The LOtC Quality Badge sets clear safety and educational criteria, with the aim of keeping children and young people safer on educational visits
Administered by Council for Learning Outside the Classroom since 2009, the LOtC Quality Badge is a national scheme which independently assesses providers for both the quality of their educational provision and safety management, helping to raise standards across the sector.

Organisations who have achieved the quality badge include Buckingham Palace, the Science Museum, Go Ape and YHA, but its reach extends far beyond household names to cover a wealth of local museums, faith centres, arts organisations and theatre groups.
Successful organisations display the LOtC Quality Badge to demonstrate their commitment to higher standards. Schools and educational settings use the Quality Badge to help identify organisations that are committed to safe and high-quality educational visits – look for the Quality Badge on websites, marketing materials and on sites like Kaddi.com when searching for suitable providers.
As advisers, the LOtC Quality Badge is one of our checks when reviewing visits for approval. Organisations that hold the Quality Badge have been assessed on many of the aspects that schools need to check as part of their due diligence and risk management, which helps reduce paperwork and speed up the planning process too.
Jake Wiid, Director at EVOLVE Advice says,
“The LOtC Quality Badge gives schools a simple way to recognise educational visits providers who deliver learning experiences with safety and purpose at their core. It raises standards across the sector and gives schools real confidence in the organisations they choose to work with.
“EVOLVE Advice is proud to champion this important scheme and encourages all providers to work towards achieving the Quality Badge.”

About CLOtC
The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) is the UK charity champion for all learning beyond the classroom. CLOtC believes that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from high quality learning beyond the classroom, and that these experiences happen indoors and outdoors, close to home and far away, during the school day and beyond. It works to drive up standards and ensure high-quality, safe, and engaging learning beyond the classroom for all.
