Adventurous activities on educational visits

When? Tuesday 23 June 2026. 11am - 12pm

Where? Online via zoom

Who is it for? EVCs, school leaders and all those responsible for educational visits in schools.

What is it all about?

The term ‘adventurous’ covers a broad range of activities you might be planning for your educational visits. These need additional risk assessment, provider checks and approval but it’s not uncommon for these to be missed in visit forms.

In this webinar, you’ll learn how to identify an ‘adventurous activity’; what to ask your provider; when and why AALA licences apply; insurance; contracts and waivers; and how to navigate the approval process. We’ll also offer advice for schools running self-led adventurous activities including the use of National Governing Body (NGB) Awards and technical adviser sign off.

YOUR QUESTIONS- bring your own experiences and questions for expert advice from our Educational Visits Adviser.

The webinar is free to attend.
