First Aid for Educational Visits

Practical first aid training for school staff – ideal for INSET days and whole-team bookings.

Prepare your school staff to confidently respond to minor accidents and common medical incidents during off-site trips and visits.

This half-day training course is tailored specifically for education settings and includes advice on managing first aid situations in outdoor and off-site environments.

Practical activities help embed learning. This group took their learning outdoors!

Why this course?

When staff take children and young people off site, you must ensure they’re appropriately trained and confident to act if needed. According to OEAP National Guidance 4.4b First Aid, a basic level of first aid support should always be available during educational visits – even where your risk assessment doesn’t require a fully-qualified first aider.

First Aid for Educational Visits helps you meet that need. It gives your visit team:

  • The skills to manage minor injuries and illnesses.

  • The confidence to respond in the first moments of an emergency.

  • The knowledge to access professional help quickly if needed.
