EVOLVE Advice launches Wild Weekend at the Bioasis
EVOLVE Advice partners with The Bioasis to launch a Teacher Retreat for Visit Leaders and EVCs
EVOLVE Advice is pleased to be working with The Bioasis to support its Wild Weekend - a teacher retreat for Visit Leaders and Educational Visits Coordinators, taking place in the South West of England in May 2026.
The retreat has been designed as a reflective and restorative experience for school staff with responsibility for educational visits and outdoor learning. Hosted by The Bioasis and supported by EVOLVE Advice Educational Visits Advisers, the weekend offers time and space for teachers to step back from day-to-day pressures, reconnect with nature, and share perspectives with others in similar roles.
The Bioasis is an established educational visits provider with a strong focus on nature connection and environmental understanding. Their work supports both young people and adults to develop resilience, clarity, and a deeper understanding of their role in a changing world.
Bioasis founder, Adrian Ferraro says:
“At The Bioasis, we believe in equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to navigate an uncertain future. Through immersive, nature-based residential adventures, we inspire curiosity, build resilience, and spark a deep connection to the world around us.
“Our mission is to empower schools to build confident, purpose-driven learners who understand their role in building a more sustainable world. Advocates of outdoor education for over 25 years, we strongly believe that such opportunities shouldn't simply stop in school. The Bioasis is the perfect place for reconnecting adults and businesses with nature and the great outdoors. Our Business & Private Retreat programmes provide the time and space to think differently, gain clarity, connect with each other and drive innovation and resilience.”
EVOLVE Advice’s involvement reflects a shared belief that effective educational visits leadership is strengthened through reflection, connection, and professional confidence. Jake Wiid of EVOLVE Advice says,
“Visit Leaders and EVCs put so much energy into providing meaningful experiences for children and young people
“This retreat recognises the importance of giving these dedicated individuals time and space for them to reflect, reconnect with nature, and talk openly with peers and advisers who understand the responsibilities they carry.”
