Beyond Barriers: Making Educational Visits Inclusive for Every Young Person

PGL Beyond breakfast session

Inclusive educational visits require thoughtful planning, clear communication and strong safeguarding practice.

In this session, PGL Beyond’s Head of Safeguarding & SEND explores how outdoor adventure and educational travel can be made more inclusive without compromising safety or quality. The session focuses on three key areas — SEND/ASN inclusivity, affordability and cultural/religious inclusion — and considers what these mean in practice for EVCs, safeguarding leads and visit approvers.

Delegates will leave with practical considerations to support confident decision-making and inclusive participation on visits.
