This session examines risk management on DofE expeditions and their outcomes, including remote supervision, risk assessments, and inclusion. They also explore different expedition delivery models and the use of AAP, while offering practical tips and developing an action plan.

Your speakers

Janet McIntyre is an experienced leader specialising in keeping young people safe within the youth sector and in outdoor, adventurous environments. As Head of Safety and Safeguarding at The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, she delivers organisational strategy, ensuring the safe delivery of the DofE Programme for thousands of young people each year.

Andy Bremner-Hart is the Senior Safety Manager at the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, where he supports staff, providers and partners in delivering safe and impactful expeditions. His background combines hands-on experience as an outdoor practitioner, with mountain and paddlesport qualifications, alongside operational safety and safeguarding expertise.
