Ben Brittain-Dodd is Educational Visits Manager and Advisor for Hampshire Outdoors, where he supports over 800 establishments to access and lead educational visits. He has led, arranged and supported a wide range of visits for children and adults, from trips to local beaches to expeditions in the developing world; from overnight sleepovers in the school grounds to 30 day schools expeditions in high and very cold places. His extensive experience means he’s well places to advise schools on what they should consider, and importantly what it might be best to avoid! His career spans working in schools, activity providers, residential and secure settings alongside freelance inspecting and event management. As a result, he has a broad range of knowledge and experience to share – although if you mention theme park visits he may start twitching, especially if it includes a certain well-known pig from children’s TV...
