School emergency contact policy
An external webinar delivered by Pharos Response
Ensuring 24/7 support for off-site and out-of-hours emergencies.
When? Thursday 25 June 2026 . 1.30pm - 2.30pm
Where? Online via teams
Who is it for? EVCs, school leaders and all those responsible for educational visits in schools.
What is it all about?
A school emergency out-of-hours is rarely convenient. A robust home contact policy or guidance ensures that when the unexpected happens, the person on the end of the emergency phone is in a position to answer the call for help and able to provide support.
Schools should seek to move beyond ‘just call the Head’s mobile’ to establishing a robust framework that can protect staff, support trip leaders, and help ensure student safety, even at 3:00AM on a Sunday!
This webinar is designed to help leadership teams and Educational Visit Coordinators (EVCs) formalise the vital role of the home contact to ensure they are in a position to help in the event of an emergency off-site or out-of-hours.
